Why Video is the only futureproofed SEO tool

There's a great post over a Webproworld, where someone has asked a brilliant leading question that has got all the various experts in the many various Internet Marketing fields, jumping up and down and telling some great tips and truths about their specialist subjects. One simple question and they all come out of the woodwork to espouse that their method is the Tao in the world of Social Media.

There's some brilliant stuff there from trusted gurus and experts, each of which is quite correct in what they say about blogging, social media platforms like facebook and myspace, social bookmarking, article distribution, pr and twittering and all the other things that are part of 'Social element' of THE SYSTEM, and you will need as part of your Internet Marketing mix if you are going to dominate Google.

Well of course we had to chip in and vote for video and here is why.

Google is clever and has seen the future, and just like all the major TV networks, media corporations, phone companies, cable companies, broadband suppliers, phone makers, flat screen manufacturers, personal data devices, GPS and of course Microsoft all know that one thing is coming....

CONVERGENCE

Convergence means that you'll have your own personal preferred desktop displaying universal search items for your personality (determined by your search patterns, your buying patterns your social networking and your bookmarking or approving of STUFF), and you'll carry it or have access to it everywhere in the world with you, using any or all of those devices mentioned above and many many more!

And of course in this brave bright new world, moving pictures, both statically streamed like now from YouTube and fully streamed live events from just about every cellphone in the world are WITHOUT DOUBT going to win the day.

OK Case won! But more importantly Video is the most efficient, most flexible, most fastest yielding method there currently is of obtaining FREE backlinks in record times, from authority sites, that Google has to count, otherwise its algorithm would fall over! And these links grow exponentially in a dendronic pattern for FREE.

(Thats a story for another day - because we think it often does!)

Google has all seeing eye aspirations - Googly is bored!

Googles raison d'etre once upon a time was to acquire as much knowledge as possible and to assimilate that knowledge to deliver the information it deems the most appropriate. Google doesnt mind the collective SEO mind influencing results. For a laugh it changes the rules and either rewards the interacters for enhancing its filtering or penalises perpetrators for daring to meddle with the machine. Tee Hee

Or so it went

Bow down for a moment google as your power was partially usurped by the social media platforms, but congrats on blogger and YouTube the heart of your current mission station.

You've even unbanned some of our incredibly successful sites, we admit were using some leading edge grey stuff, still we did help to enhance the algorithm, didnt we!

But poor old googly has got bored with the same old human knowledge, have you ever tried to teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

Google wants to SEE (Youtube, Google earth, googly maps, google images, ggoogly videos etcetc google any bloody picture thing)


and Google wants to hear (You Tube, and all social media platforms where collectives of peoples of all shapes and sizes are deciding what is relevant!)

GOOGLE IS BORED AND SICK TO DEATH OF BEING SAVANT WITHOUT SIGHT OR SOUND

Video Search Engine Marketing to the Bank

The System is amused at all the talk these days about video and how it can be used for Search engine marketing. We've read all sorts of posts on the webmaster forums from seasoned professional marketeers who amazingly don't understand the power of video on the Internet. They all have their heads up their posteriors about things like 'Youtube links are no follow' or 'video is too complicated' so we thought we'd let you into a few rarely known secrets at this point in time!

OK So were not going to go into the mechanics of making videos or the methods used to create them. Theres a great video marketing post on webproworld which will explain these things further for you.

Suffice to say, video is the hottest SEO and SEM tool available on the Internet today.
If your website does not contain video you can probably wave goodbye to top 50 SERPs within the next year.

Why? Here's our take on it:

Google's biggest investment was YouTube.
Google has publicly stated that links from videos and blogs (Blogger in particular)will help SERPS
Videos are viral (even rubbish ones)and create hundreds and sometimes thousands of unsolicited one way backlinks (both follow and nofollow)
Videos reduce bounce rate, enhances user engagement and are sticky.
Videos produce great content - remember 'content is king!'
Videos are easy to produce, you dont even need film, a series of photos will suffice.
If you're into SEO etc (which you must be if you're here) using a screen capture tool such as Camtasia will allow you to create hundreds of videos per week as you work!

So here's our step by step blueprint that will rocket your site to number one on Google for long tailed keywords almost instantly, and help your site sustain its SERPS in the long term.

1. Sign up to a video blasting service such as Traffic Geyser

2. Create your video and upload to Traffic Geyser. Don't worry if you haven't got any videos at this point - Traffic geyser has a tool that allows you to make short videos out of photos and other rich media.

3. Fill out the submission form with details of your business and the links to your home or squeeze (landing) page.

4. Hit the button!

5. Your video is submitted to all the major video serving hubs, social bookmarking sites, blogs and podcast sites.

6. Check Google, initially for your long tail keywords and as time rolls by for the two word ones. If you have an established site with good google authority you will see the video listed within minutes in the SERPS. Occasionally you will be very surprised and hit keywords for which you had not intended. For Example, we recently targeted the keyword, kite surfing XXXXX, and ended up getting the video ranked five times on the front page of gog for the term, surfing XXXXX, which has a far larger market.

7. Over the next day or two your video and the text description containing your links will be copied across multiple video hub sites around the world. Many you will never have heard of in places you've never heard of, but will see them turning up on Google for your niche keywords. Video hubs that go out and suck up video content are everywhere. You benefit from free unsolicated links plus a wider viewing audience. One of our many Utube personas has a large following in Mongolia!

You can also check this by doing a SITE search on Yahoo for backlinks which will givev you an idea of what type of inbound links are working for you. Large financial sites such as Moneysupemarket.com, have a strategy to get paid backlinks from blogs worldwide which is extremely evident when you do a backlinks check on them.

8. Put links to your videos on youtube etc from your blogs social bookmarking, facebook, myspace, digg etc etc and websites - use RSS feed options.

9. Sit back and watch the money roll in

Traffic Geyser allows you to indulge in quite a few black hat tricks if you can be bothered to.
