The Recursive or Infinite Loop – Power RSS Marketing

by The System on June 21st, 2009

Today I want to tell you a secret about the recursive loop or infinite loop.

In laymans language a recursive loop is simply a link back to yourself . You probably even do a little bit of it yourselves already on your home sites navigation!
You most certainly are trying to achieve this very end in your link building practices!

You should be doing it on every piece of content you produce!

Recursion in Backlinks

In programming terms a recursive loop is a no-no in structured sequential logic, as the program would never end, although clever programmers use the function to do clever stuff!

In systems terms it’s also usually a no-no because infinite repitition is not what is usually required!
You certainly would not expect to see recursive loops in an optimized linking network, would you?

Well guess what?!!

For Internet Marketers a recursive loop is golddust.

Imagine a system that would generate infinite repetition of links (with no duplicate penalties)

Well guess what folks – It already exists and it’s OUT THERE – you just need to learn how to put the components together.

Blogging with recursive loop textlinks

So today I’m going to actually tell you how to utilize the recursive loop for maximum backlinks for your website.

Imagine you owned a blog about cats called for arguments sake catblog.org.uk

As its a blog you should include personal comment, however the formal ‘I think’ sounds more authoritarian than authority.

The solution is the recursive loop.

By saying instead  ‘cat blog thinks’ with a link back to catblog.org.uk from itself saying ‘cat blog‘ you create links that are no longer recursive loops when published on someone elses site or taken in an RSS feed. They become one-way text links back to your site!

Advanced RSS Linkbuilding with the Recursive Loop

Do a search on Google for any type of blog e.g. money blog, and you will see the recursive loop used extensively to the point of occurring in every blogpost for the top ranking blogs.

This is not co-incidence and occurs for just about every xxxxblog.xxx  and for ‘buying type’ keyword searches, where the website is Web 2.0 or conversational. The System itself ranks for its generic domain name simply through recursive links such as this.

An excellent way of squeezing additional links out of blog posts using the recursive loop, is to add a footer containing it to all your RSS Feeds.

This is perfect if you publish other peoples posts or use RSS for syndication of articles, as you get automatic unnoticed back links out of others peoples toil!  Great for autoblogs!

The best way of doing this is by using a WordPress plugin called RSS Footer.
