On my way to the forum I passed through the valley of the shadow of Deadheads!

When I'm bored, which is very rare as I am so busy, I go and visit the SEO forums...

Like all Web 2.0 properties I have various sign ons and personas depending upon which specific subject I'm commenting on. Sometimes I even forget who I am!

Comment spam certainly works and if you follow my previous posts on the matter, you'll be shown some succesful ways of doing this for commercial keywords.

Personally I can't be bothered - which is why larger SEO companies outsource this labourious task to third world countries (whoops aren't they called emerging these days?).

No, the reason I really visit the SEO forums in particular is to wind up the perennial posters and so called SEO experts who spend their days talking about webmaster guidelines that waste their time (and everybody else's); by vehemently disagreeing with some of the rubbish they post.
By 'Wind Up', I mean I like to use various techniques to initiate a response, one of which uses the NLP technique of reframing the original problem. This invariably enflames the forumophiles....
Certain of these forums have these Kudos buttons that the long term bullshitters take pride in accumulating self-appointed 'points'.

Here is a truth

I have never learnt one constructive fact from any SEO forum that has helped me in monetarising my network!
. These people that post a million times to forums cannot by time default alone, be running succesful internet marketing businesses.... they are your daytime TV metalities!

By all means get as many free backlinks from 'on-theme forums' as you can, but I'd advise you not to look at forums for answers, especially to accept advice from so called 'veterans', an example of which is the 'WebProWorld 1,000+ Club'......

The SEO Forum A Brueghel Tower Of Babel of webmaster lies

........ These people are all shouting from the towers of Babel in their own sad 'huis clos'!

Don't waste your time!

What is Search Engine Buzz? - Links to Infinity and Beyond

Buzz - Light Years Ahead!

OR

How to create links to Infinity and Beyond

Internet Marketing is all about creating buzz! Hive Noise! Becoming the talk of the town is the ultimate goal of The System!
Buzz is ongoing......
Buzz is about continuity, as soon as the noise stops so does the publicity!

Web 2.0 is surrounded by something I call the 'buzz belt'

It consists predominantly of places to make noise.

In particular noise with embedded backlinks.

A lot of people might consider buzz as spam or black hat - to those I say, it's what Google Wants, It's what everone else is doing, If you don't you are dead in the water, getting ranked these days IS about he who can shout the loudest and have the most backlinks - Forget what any of these so called marketing Gurus try tell you otherwise ! -

Getting high ranks on Google is partly, perhaps even largely, about getting keyword rich links through continual self promotion - full stop period...

Buzz belt

1. Twitter - Global real time noise!
2. Blogs - Personal noise! Blogger blogs are the ultimate tool for making noise in the Buzz belt!
3. Social Bookmarking - Like Dog posting - Doing what dogs like to do on lamp posts!
4. Commenting - Making more noise all over the place, either personal or informational
5. Social Network Comments - Niche and personal noise

All web 2.0 properties will create a certain amount of buzz, but some more than others. For example I don't consider articles or PR releases etc to be part of the buzz belt, these properties are more valuable as viral static high ranking long term links.

Buzz needs to be done on an ongoing continual basis, preferably without spikes, although these will inevitably occur when you release content. Buzz content can re-used and repackaged for extra link juice and more buzz squeezed out of the content even long after the first noise has gone quiet!

SEO GoogleTesting reveals Social Bookmarking & Blog spam gives Top SERPS!

Just to let you know that The System has noticed while testing that Google SERPS are currently definitely favouring Wisdom of crowds and noise results, such as social bookmarking and blog spam.

I've today seen some bookmarking tag pages show up on the first page of Google for highly competitive keywords - clipmark seems to be in favour at the moment - personally I think its probably due to the enormous amount of people using automated social bookmarking tools.

It'll be interesting to see how long the spam lasts for .... the problem is one wave of spammers is constantly followed by another....it's the wisdom of the cheap Indian labour force... and there are a billion of them!!

Keep bookmarking

Watching Googles SERPs being manipulated - Blog Spam and how to do it properly

We don't teach you these trick's here, well we do actually, but what we don't do is advocate them for long term SERP success at Google and definitely not for creating an optimized network structure.....however these tactics will bring you short term success and if the keyword is rich enough - lots of filthy lucre.

You do have to spend quite a bit of money upfront on Indian SEO services though, but if you do it right and more importantly in the right places, then the riches can be milked from the traffic before you get whacked by Google....even better if you let someone else do all the work (like the Indians), but we'll talk about that later.....

So what am I talking about?

In a couple of words - Web 2.0 comment spam! Blog Link Spam!

why blog links are spam

I'm talking about paying lots of Indians (under the pathetic guise of SEO services) to go and make hundreds or thousands of comments on blogs (and other social media websites) that allow you to, all over the world, thus building up authority via the wisdom of crowds that Googles ranking algo relies upon.

More explicitly the wisdom of the crowds that is determined through one way links from authority sites using Kansky's algorithm of nodal authority.

So who is doing this and where is it working?

(Did I detect squirms from many of our readers? - don't worry its not you we're outing today!)

Unless you are Australian! (Cmon chaps the Ashes is starting isn't it!!!)

I'm going to show you an example of who is doing this, how it works and also how to take advantage of someone elses spam!

Right, one of first things we teach here at The System is to keep an eye on your keywords, particularly the SERPs for your targetted keywords.
Pay particular attention to who else is in the market - your competition - who are they? why are they there? where are they getting their links from?

So when we started to see an AUSTRALIAN Website shooting up the rankings for a very competitive keyword - we want to know WHY?

More importantly we want to confirm our suspicions, because we remembered the cheeky POMS had spammed our blogs a few weeks before!
(By the ways it's you Australians that are POHM'S - Prisoners Of Her Majesty)

So who are we talking about- well a website that has been giving Moneysupermarket.com a run for it's money (on SEO services).....

Ratedetective.com.au!

Check out their backlinks on Yahoo.com Spam and drill down for links to a particular product that they have been spamming like Income Protection

Visit the blogs and you will see that they have made lots of posts using Indian SEO services, using the keyword Income protection thus benefiting from the name/site link alllowed on most blogs.
They've mostly signed up as a user, which takes a minute, to take advantage of the keyword user name.

Cheeky Aussie gits - it's not the way to do things long term and if you don't keep the buzz up it will soon drop off - keep an eye of the sites rankings in Google!

Here's a link for Income protection as they, and a few other Choice Australians I could mention, seem to be hitting it as hard as Moneysupermarket do!

TIP - Take advantage of all those millions of SEO Indians hard work in finding these FFA links and post away to your hearts content - if you can't beat them - join them

It's the Wisdom of Crowds!

SO HERE'S HOW TO GET LINKS PROPERLY WITHOUT PENALTY

Now here's how to do it using optimized networks constructed of RSS! (don't bother to click the link - it's a recursive one to make sure I still rank No.1 for that term when people start to copy my ideas!

Think RSS! it satisfies the 4 necessities demanded by the wisdom of the crowds!

RSS is the wisdom of the crowd - you dont PUSH it on people - People CHOOSE it!

RSS is the solution!

Well the cat is out of the bag so we might as well tell you how to take advantage of this while it's still hot.

So 95% of business blogs are abandoned - Great!

3. click on backlinks (from all urls)
4. scroll through the pages until you find blog posts - there are usually lots of them
5. visit the blog and see if you can post to it. (most marketers blogs allow this function)
6. You are really looking for blogs that the last post was 2008 or earlier
7. Make some good quality comments about the subject and include your links.
8. sign out and sign in again as another blogger
9. Make some more posts on different posts on the same blog!
10. sit back and watch your rankings rise and your competitors fall!

Extra Tip - when you have finished posting on all the posts on the abandoned blog, take the RSS and submit it to pingomatic or some similar service!!

Have Fun and say some nice things about your competitiors who are handing their linkjuice to you!

Physical Graffitti for the Masses - Commenting

"The writings on the wall" go a million lyrics

Sure enough the Internet is becoming more open and you are encouraged to participate and get involved either interactively or engagement through content.

Ever since the days of the caveman Man has had this urge to scribble on walls.

Looking at the drawings on the walls at Lascaux gives you a perspective about graffitti which has moved into the future to exist everywhere as a means of cyber engagement

Stone Age comment spam at the Lascaux caves

Vote, Comment, feedback, forums, youtube etc etc have all been a great platform for the way of dropping or in street speak 'tagging' and leaving your mark.

Or if you're cleverer your link.

Theres a right and wrong way about going about this though and you will be doing no more damage to yourselves than wasting your time if you do it the 'wrong way'

Commenting link spam is a waste of everyone's time.
At the other end of the acceptable behaviour spectrum and actively encouraged is positve contribution and extension of what the topic is through getting engaged with the website.

It's the difference between going around spraying your tag on everything you pass within your territory, to some of the works of art graffitti that you used to find on the sides of buildings and subways around the globe.

And its this end of the spectrum the The System expects every marketeer to engage with.

Find blogs, articles etc that are on theme to whatever you are selling - you can do this by searching google and checking universal results for your competitive keywords.

Make positive or negative comments of debate about the subject which should be one with which yopu are familiar and have an opinion... Try to spark debate!

Once you've got links from respectable blogs etc back to your money site - you should post bookmarks and ping RSS feeds for the article/blog that includes your comment with your link to spread the free links virally.
